Angel Cake is one of the best Cathy Cassidy books there is! (Even though they all are amazing)
Anya (The Main Character) has immigrated from Poland to Britain. It’s a whole new world for Anya for everything is different, the school is like a zoo, her house is a rotten, old flat and there are no sweet swallows dipping and diving between the rooftops. What more could go wrong? Well…a lot more!
Anya is struggling to enjoy her new life here… ‘Until she meets bad boy Dan. He’s no angel, but she’s sure there’s a sweeter side to him. And when things really start to fall apart, Anya realises she’s not alone – how can Dan be such bad news when being with him feels like heaven?’
Cathy is very clever with this book, she’s hidden things that you’ve got to remember (That usually sort themselves out later) and even when you think things are better again, it all goes terribly wrong. To sum things up, Angel Cake is a totally SWEET read!

hi, i am in the dream team too and i really enjoyed this book, i read it before we got halfway down france (we were going on holiday to the south of france)!!! I love Cathy Cassidy but it seems i am not as fortunate as you, i have only met Cathy Cassidy twice!
